Adding Raspberry Pi or Buy preload game system from arcade-one

Currently, we don’t have a direct solution for connecting Tankstick controllers to a preloaded game PC. However, I can suggest a couple of alternative routes that might interest you: 1. Modifying Your Tankstick with Raspberry Pi: This could be a creative way to integrate your Tankstick with a more flexible system. We found a helpful video that walks you through the process: Mod Your Tankstick with Raspberry Pi Tutorial. 2. Purchasing a PC with Preloaded Games: For a straightforward solution, consider acquiring a PC already set up for gaming. A good place to start might be Arcade-One, which offers such systems. I hope these suggestions prove useful to you. Best,

ARCADE2TV-XR Bluetooth Dongle Pairing Instructions
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000113124
Last updated: 2025-05-16T02:32:05Z
Once you receive the replacement dongle, make sure to power on the Tankstick VR controller unit only via the USB-C cable to ensure it's in Bluetooth pairing mode (do not connect the old dongle). Then, press and hold the side button of the dongle while plugging it into your Meta headset to start the pairing process (release the button after plugging it in for 1 second). Note: when performing this, ensure the USB-C is connected straight and not bent, as this could potentially damage the USB port on the dongle. After plugging it in and initiating pairing mode, fast blinking on the dongle indicates a successful connection to your Tankstick VR unit. A slow blink means it is still searching for the device. In this case, you will need to repeat the steps above, as it may have failed to enter pairing mode. Best,

Sorry for the trouble — I know this has been frustrating. Don’t worry though, we should be able to get this sorted. From what you’re describing, it looks like the firmware may have become corrupted. Please follow the force firmware upgrade steps using the guide below, and make sure to do them in this exact order: ARCADE2TV-XR / Tankstick VR – Software & Firmware Usage Guide https://support.xgaming.com/support/solutions/articles/12000101199-arcade2tv-xr-tankstick-vr-software-and-firmware-usage-guide Press and hold the bottom-left button, then plug the controller directly into your PC.Release the button after the USB cable is connected. This allows the PCB to enter force firmware upgrade mode. Launch the Arcade2TV software and perform the firmware upgrade to version X.XX. Once the update completes, do not unplug or change anything yet. In the Arcade2TV software, click Factory Reset and allow it to fully complete. In most cases, this clears the corruption and restores normal operation across PC, console, and VR. Once you’ve completed these steps, let me know how it behaves and we’ll take the next step if needed. We’ll get you up and running. Best regards,
Arcade2tv-XR FIRMWARE UPGRADE GUIDE when people ask

Last updated: 2025-03-31T12:39:28Z
I understand what's happening now. To upgrade the firmware, you need to ensure that you are not in XINPUT mode, as firmware upgrades cannot be performed in this mode due to driver limitations. Here’s what you should do: 1. Connect to your PC and ensure that your PC recognizes the arcade2tv device. 2. Press and hold Mode1 on the touch panel for 3-5 seconds until it blinks red (keyboard/mouse) or blue (DINPUT). 3. Then, restart the software (this step isn't strictly necessary, but it's a good idea in case the software isn't displaying the firmware number). 4. Click the firmware upgrade button in the software, select the firmware file, and click OK to begin the firmware upgrade process. 5. Wait until the device has completely rebooted before disconnecting it. 6. Now the firmware should be upgraded to your desired version. Let me know how it goes! If it’s still not working, double-check that you’re not in XINPUT mode and try the force firmware upgrade process I mentioned earlier. Best,

Arcade2TV-XR Spinner upgrade for Tankstick?
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000109914
Last updated: 2024-11-15T04:32:42Z
Thanks for reaching out! Technically, you can add the Arcade2TV-XR spinners to a dual Tankstick with trackball, but it would involve some modifications. You'd need to drill two extra button holes to fit the spinners, or you could replace two buttons with them. Additionally, you’d need to create another hole for the USB cable to connect the spinners. Just curious—since you’re the first person to inquire about this—would you consider going through this mod work? Your feedback would be valuable in helping us understand the demand for this feature and whether it’s something we should consider making easier in the future. Thanks! Best regards,

To get started, you need to connect it to a PC using the USB-B port located at the back. Once it's connected and recognized as a keyboard device, press and hold the P1 mode on the touch panel for 5 seconds until it starts blinking. This indicates that the driver has switched to a different mode. A blinking red light means you're in keyboard mode, blinking blue indicates DINPUT mode, and blinking green shows that you're in XINPUT mode.
Arcade2tv-XR/ Tanksitck VR dongle not working with BOBO VR battery strap and third party- RESPONSE
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000114107
Last updated: 2025-12-22T22:08:06Z
Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the trouble. We recently discovered that our dongle is not compatible with third-party battery head straps like the BOBO VR. It currently only works reliably with Meta’s official Elite Battery Strap, which we’ve tested and confirmed. If your headset stops recognizing the dongle, here’s how to reset the USB-C port and get things working again: 1. Disconnect the third-party battery head strap. 2. Plug in the X-Arcade dongle directly. 3. Reboot the Meta headset. 4. The USB-C port will reset, and the dongle should function normally. We just released a new dongle that resolves this issue: https://shop.xgaming.com/products/x-arcade-gen2-wireless-dongle-upgrade-for-arcade2tv-xr Best,
Arcade2tv-XR/Tankstick VR Bluetooth Dongle Blink SLOW ISSUE
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000113558
Last updated: 2025-06-09T01:31:20Z
Please connect only the USB-C port to the power adapter, as this allows the device to function in wireless mode. Avoid connecting the USB-B port to a PC, as this will cause the controller to prioritize the USB connection to the PC instead of communicating with the Bluetooth adapter. If the dongle is blinking slowly, it signifies that it is not connected to your arcade2tv-xr unit, and you'll need to initiate the pairing process. Here’s how to do it: 1. Use the USB-C cable exclusively to power the a2tv unit; do not connect the USB-B port. 2. While plugging the wireless dongle into your Meta Quest headset, press and hold the side button on the dongle. 3. Once the wireless dongle is connected to your Quest headset, wait for it to blink rapidly, indicating that it has been paired and connected successfully. When you roll the trackball, you should see the mouse cursor moving in the Meta headset. Lastly, ensure that the dongle is plugged in before launching the Pinball FX VR game so that the software can recognize it and enable XArcade mode. Let me know how it goes. Best,
AUTOHOTKEY to turn Red LED button to Esc for Tankstick
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000113137
Last updated: 2025-05-17T02:10:57Z
You can use the solution I have shared below. This is a custom AutoHotkey application we created to translate the mouse M3 button press into an Esc key press on the keyboard. You will then need to set the Esc key as the exit command for MAME, which is typically the default setting. Here is the download link for the app: Download here Additionally, you can configure this app to run at startup on your PC if you are using a dedicated machine for arcade gaming. Here’s how to do it: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000124550/how-to-add-app-to-startup-in-windows-10#:~:text=Open%20Run%20command%20box%20by,key%20to%20open%20Startup%20folder.&text=Copy%20and%20paste%20the%20app,app%20is%20added%20to%20startup. AXR SUPPORT- bluetooth connection issue and RGB no light

Last updated: 2024-12-11T04:33:19Z
I’m sorry for the trouble! This is a brand-new product, and you’re the first to report these issues, so it’s new territory for us as well. Don’t worry—we’ll get this sorted out. Here’s what you can try with the dongle: Power Connection(IMPORTANT-IT MUST BE IN THIS SETUP FOR BLUETOOTH): Make sure only the USB-C port is connected for power and that the USB-B port isn’t connected to any PC. With just the USB-C port powered, the Arcade2TV-XR should automatically enter Bluetooth mode. You should see the controller’s LED light up. Pairing With the Headset: Once you’ve confirmed Step 1, connect the Bluetooth dongle to your Meta Quest headset. The dongle’s LED should begin blinking rapidly, indicating it’s already connected. If it doesn’t behave this way, try unplugging it from the headset, repowering the controller, and then pressing and holding the side button on the dongle as you plug it back into the Quest headset. Release the button afterward—this should auto complete the pairing, indicated by fast blinking lights. Blinking fast means they are successfully paired. Blinking slowly means connection is not found. If you still see it blink three times and stop, it could mean the headset’s USB-C port is not functioning correctly. To verify, plug the dongle into a PC (use a USB-C to USB-A adapter if needed) and see if it blinks as expected. When connected to a PC, the Arcade2TV-XR should act like a keyboard and mouse (you can test this in a text editor). If none of these steps work, we’ll send you a replacement dongle. We’ve never encountered an issue like this before, so we appreciate your patience. For the touch panel issue, this is also something new we haven’t run into yet. Since it’s independent of the Quest headset, there’s no reason it should turn dark after the dongle is connected. Please try the following: Adjusting Brightness: On the touch panel, press and hold the “X” logo, then press and hold the P1 TURBO button to increase the brightness of both the touch panel and the laser-engraved marquee. Pressing and holding “X” plus P1 MODE will dim the lights. Changing Lighting Effects: A short press of the “X” logo will cycle through different lighting effects for both the touch panel and the marquee. Adjusting Animation Speed: Pressing “X” + P2 MODE will speed up the lighting animations, and pressing “X” + P2 TURBO will slow them down. Let me know if this helps. If you continue to have issues, we’ll work with you to find a solution. Best,

You can also try searching for "Happ d25" locks, which may work depending on the model. Last updated: 2026-03-04T01:49:37Z
Can you let me know whether you have a Gen1 dongle or a Gen2 dongle with your Arcade2TV-XR controller? Gen1 Dongle (Standard with Original Purchase) • This is the dongle included with your original Arcade2TV-XR / Tankstick VR bundle. • It was not purchased separately. • ❗ This dongle is NOT firmware upgradable. • ❗ It is NOT compatible with Gen2 firmware. Attempting to install Gen2 dongle firmware onto a Gen1 dongle will permanently disable the device. If your dongle came in the original box with your controller and you did not purchase a separate Gen2 upgrade, you have a Gen1 dongle. Gen2 Dongle (Purchased Separately / Included with Haptics Kit) • This dongle is purchased separately as an upgrade • It is also included with the X-Force Haptics Kit • ✅ Firmware upgradable • ✅ Compatible with the Gen2 firmware versions listed on this page If you specifically purchased a Gen2 wireless upgrade or received one with your Haptics Kit, you have a Gen2 dongle.

Dongle Compatibility Issue with Third-Party Battery Head Straps (e.g., BOBOVR)
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000115355
Last updated: 2025-09-22T04:13:30Z
Are you currently using the X-Arcade dongle with a BOBOVR battery head strap? Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We’ve discovered that the dongle isn’t compatible with third-party battery straps like the BOBOVR. At this time, it only works reliably with Meta’s official Elite Battery Strap, which we have fully tested and verified. If your headset no longer recognizes the dongle, please try resetting the USB-C port: Remove the third-party battery strap. Connect the X-Arcade dongle directly to the headset. Restart the Meta headset. The USB-C port should reset, allowing the dongle to function normally. We’re actively developing a new version of the dongle that will support third-party battery straps, which will be available soon. In the meantime, please try re-pairing the dongle with your controller: Power the Tankstick VR controller only via the USB-C cable (do not connect the old dongle). This ensures it starts in Bluetooth pairing mode. While plugging the dongle into your Meta headset, press and hold its side button, then release after 1 second. A fast-blinking LED means the dongle paired successfully. A slow blink means it’s still searching—repeat the steps if needed. Important: make sure the USB-C connection is straight, not angled, to avoid damaging the port. Additional tips: Ensure the Tankstick controller is powered with the supplied wall adapter using the USB-C port at the back. If you own two dongles, connect only one at a time. Having both powered simultaneously can confuse the controller. If issues persist, there’s a chance the dongle’s USB-C port may be damaged and require replacement. Please let me know if these steps resolve the issue. Best regards,
Dongle issue response
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000113749
Last updated: 2025-06-19T05:18:12Z
Occasionally, the Quest headset may temporarily be unable to provide power to the external dongle or may experience difficulties in establishing a connection through the USB protocol. This issue can generally be resolved by rebooting the Meta Quest headset or by disconnecting and reconnecting the dongle multiple times. We recommend always attaching the external battery before connecting to the Meta headset, as this enhances the chances of a successful handshake for the USB passthrough. Once connected, it will stay connected. The primary issue arises during the handshake initiation between the dongle and the Meta headset. When your dongle is connected and the controller signal is being transmitted to the Meta 3, it is already powered by the Meta 3 and not the external battery, which is intended solely for passthrough power. Hope this helps. Best,
Dongle no light coming up

Last updated: 2026-01-31T03:29:20Z
I’m sorry to hear that your Gen2 dongle isn’t lighting up on the Quest 3 and isn’t being recognized by your PC. Before we determine if the hardware is faulty, there are two quick things we’d like you to try. First, please fully reboot your Quest 3 headset (power it off completely, then turn it back on) and reconnect the dongle. In some cases, the Quest 3 can temporarily block external USB devices, and a reboot is the only way to clear this. After rebooting, please check if the dongle LED comes on. If the light still does not come on, please try forcing a firmware update on the dongle to see if we can reset the connection. Instructions to force the dongle into update mode: Unplug the dongle from your PC. Download and launch the Arcade2TV configuration tool: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xtJyi4eHAE5iV3-Y0pb_tgxPRshDaR93/view?usp=drive_link Download the Gen2 Dongle Firmware v3.41V2: http://shop.xgaming.com/atv-haptics-gen2dongle-firmware Press and hold the small button on the side of the dongle. While holding the button, plug the dongle into your PC’s USB port. In the software, select Gen2 Dongle Firmware Update and follow the on-screen steps. When finished, unplug the dongle and plug it back in. Re-pair the dongle by pressing and holding the button for 3–5 seconds. Please let me know if the software is able to detect (“see”) the dongle using this method, and whether the LED comes on after rebooting the Quest 3. If it still shows no lights and is not detected on multiple USB ports, we’ll move forward with a replacement for you.

For guidance, please refer to this instructional video: https://youtu.be/1N6t6X3CyJM?si=NaH8UeQRoHJ8KCzV. We recommend connecting both a standard keyboard and the Tankstick simultaneously. Emulation system tutorial for NOOB and Tankstick for XR? and Robotron

Last updated: 2024-11-15T04:31:02Z
Yes, the Tankstick can be used to play emulation games like Robotron 2084. Keep in mind that the Tankstick is a controller—you’ll need a PC to run the games and use the Tankstick to control them via USB connection. If you’re new to this, here’s a helpful YouTube video: How to Setup. Regarding the mixed reality (XR) system for the Arcade2TV-XR, we’ve created a Meta Quest game called Arcade Ranger. With this, you can wirelessly connect the Arcade2TV-XR to the Quest headset, run emulation games within Arcade Ranger, and experience playing them as if on a virtual arcade machine. Of course, it supports MAME games like Robotron 2084. However, you’ll need to download the game files (ROMs) yourself from the internet. Note that the Tankstick doesn’t have wireless connectivity, so it can’t be used with the XR system (Arcade Ranger). I hope this clears things up! Let me know if you have more questions. Best regards,

Thanks for reaching out. Currently, there are two mouse devices from the USB cable for the trackball and spinners. It's straightforward for PC MAME, but if you use RetroPie, you need to go to RetroArch and change the mouse index every time you switch between using the spinner after the trackball or vice versa. There are two solutions to improve the user experience: 1. Use Software Script Solution for Switching: - This sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. - I've attached the instructions for installing and using the spinner/trackball switching script on your RetroPie system. This document will guide you through setting up the script and provide details on how to utilize it effectively. 2. Use the Mixer Adapter: - This combines both the spinner and trackball into a single mouse device. You just set the mouse index for the mixed mouse one time in RetroArch and never need to switch again. - You can buy this here: X-Arcade Trackball Spinner Mixer I hope this helps! Looking forward to hearing about your experience. Best regards,
Firmware3.62 not working with Gen1 dongle
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000117068
Last updated: 2025-12-31T06:04:43Z
This issue is happening because the controller was flashed to firmware v3.62, which only works with the Gen 2 dongle. If you’re using the original dongle, v3.62 will cause the buttons not to respond, even though the connection and LEDs look normal. Solution: Please flash the controller back to firmware v2.7 or lower. Once you do that, the buttons will work normally again with your current setup. Gen2 dongle no light-FIX
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000117471
Last updated: 2026-01-26T03:16:43Z
This issue typically happens when the wrong firmware is accidentally flashed to the dongle. For example, if the Arcade2TV controller firmware is flashed onto the Gen 2 dongle, the dongle will not function correctly. The good news is that this is fully recoverable — there’s no permanent damage. You can simply reflash the correct dongle-specific firmware and restore normal operation. I’ve attached the correct Gen 2 dongle firmware to this email. Please follow the steps below to perform a force firmware upgrade. Force Firmware Upgrade Steps Press and hold the button on the dongle While holding the button, plug the dongle into your PC Open the Arcade2TV software Wait until the status shows “Initiated,” “Init Complete,” or “Handshake Complete” Click “Upgrade Firmware” Select the dongle firmware file attached to this email and complete the upgrade Once the upgrade finishes, the dongle should return to its normal working state. After the Firmware Update Plug the dongle into your headset or PC You should see a slow blinking light — this means the dongle is powered on but not yet paired Pairing the Dongle to the Controller When the light is blinking slowly, press and hold the dongle button for 5 seconds, then release The dongle will begin searching for the controller Important: Make sure the controller is NOT connected to a PC or console via the USB-B port The controller should be powered only via the USB-C port using a wall power adapter If the controller is connected to a PC or console, it will be forced into wired mode and pairing will not work. For pairing, it must be in wireless mode only. If you run into any trouble during the process or don’t see the expected light behavior, just let me know and I’ll help you through it. Working Startup Procedure When Using a Battery Strap with the Gen2 Dongle If you are using a battery head strap connected to the USB-C port on the dongle, the order in which everything powers up can affect the connection. The following startup sequence has proven to work reliably: Do not connect the battery cable to the dongle yet. Plug the wireless dongle into the Meta Quest headset. Power on the Meta Quest headset. Wait for the dongle to power up and pair with the controller. You should see the normal fast blinking red light on the dongle, and the trackball should move the cursor inside the headset. Launch Pinball FX VR (or the VR application you want to use). After everything is powered up and paired, plug the battery cable into the USB-C port on the dongle. Once the dongle is paired first and the battery is connected afterward, the controller inputs and passthrough charging should both work normally. If the battery cable is connected before the headset and dongle finish pairing, it can sometimes interfere with the USB handshake process. Following the sequence above usually resolves that issue.

Thanks for your patience — I know this has been frustrating, and I want to help get you fully up and running. Before you review the troubleshooting steps below, I strongly recommend checking out this support page: X-Force Haptics Kit – Installation & Quickstart It contains two instructional videos from Wagner's Tech Talk that are extremely helpful. Based on what you’ve described, it’s very likely that the Gen 2 dongle is not currently paired with your controller, or the unit is being forced into wired mode. Please go through the steps below carefully. 1) Confirm the Gen 2 dongle is paired to your Arcade2TV-XR Make sure the Gen 2 dongle is paired to the same Arcade2TV-XR unit running firmware v3.62 After any firmware update, re-pairing is required 2) Make sure the controller is in wireless mode If the unit is in wired mode, the wireless dongle will not work. Please confirm all of the following: ❌ Do NOT connect the USB-B (printer-style) port on the back of the unit to a PC or console ✅ Only connect the USB-C port to a wall outlet using the power adapter we supplied This ensures the controller is powered only and operating in wireless mode. If the USB-B port is connected to anything, the controller will be forced into wired mode and will completely bypass the Gen 2 dongle. 3) How to pair the Gen 2 dongle Plug the Gen 2 dongle into a PC or directly into the Meta Quest headset If the LED is blinking slowly, the dongle is not paired Press and hold the button on the dongle for about 5 seconds, then release The LED should begin blinking rapidly — this means pairing is in progress Once paired successfully, the fast blink confirms the connection After pairing, moving the trackball should immediately make a cursor appear. Important firmware note Please stay on firmware v3.62 for your Arcade2TV-XR. The Gen 2 dongle is designed to work with this firmware, and other versions will not function correctly in wireless mode. This is not a firmware bug — it’s related to how the controller switches between wired and wireless transmission modes. As long as the unit is powered only via USB-C and paired correctly, everything should work as expected. Spinner add-on installation After installing the Haptics Kit, you’ll see two open mounting holes in the controller frame. You can still install the Spinner Add-On by snapping the plastic components into one of those holes (specifically the right-side hole). For the remaining steps, please follow this video tutorial: https://youtu.be/gdMVZjFjLW4?si=l9-lOrULLOGu9uYG Once you’ve tried the steps above, let me know: Whether the dongle LED is blinking rapidly after pairing Whether the cursor appears when you move the trackball We’ll take the next step from there if needed. Best regards,

Last updated: 2026-01-23T04:49:10Z
The X-Force Haptics Kit is audio-driven, meaning the haptics are generated directly from the game’s audio signal. What you’re hearing is sound coming from the haptic motors themselves, which are specialized vibration audio speakers. These speakers are designed to convert audio into very strong physical vibrations. When you play pinball games, sounds like ball movement, flippers, bumpers, and slingshots are translated into vibration. Because this vibration is created using audio, it’s normal to hear some sound coming from the internal haptic motors—especially when the haptics are turned up to higher levels. This is how the system produces realistic, mechanical pinball-style feedback. To get the best experience, the key is proper in-game audio tuning, so the mechanical table sounds drive the haptics without unnecessary background audio overwhelming them. I recommend following this guide, which explains how to optimize in-game audio levels specifically for haptics performance:

You’ll also need a cable to connect from DB9 to USB. For that, purchase this option: USB/PS2 Connector Cable for Computer (DB9-USB/PS2) (same page as above). Last updated: 2024-06-02T16:40:12Z
Please follow below guide to set the Red LED button(Mouse M3) to 'UI cancel' (EXIT GAME) in MAME. I have personally tested it and got it working. Step 1: Access MAME's In-Game Menu Launch a Game: Start any game in MAME. Open the MAME Menu: Press the Tab key on your keyboard to bring up the MAME menu. Step 2: Navigate to Input (General) Select 'Input (general)': This option allows you to set controls that will be used across all games. Find 'User Interface': Under the 'Input (general)' menu, locate the section for 'User Interface'. Step 3: Configure UI Cancel Locate 'UI Cancel': In the 'User Interface' section, scroll until you find the 'UI Cancel' option. Assign M3 Button: With 'UI Cancel' highlighted, press Enter or the key you typically use to select. Then, click the M3 button on your mouse. MAME should recognize the mouse input and assign it. If above doesn’t work, try below: Check Configure Options->Advanced Option->Mouse=On and Multi-mouse=On. then Check Configure Options-> Input Device Options->Mouse Input Provider=auto (can try other provider might get different result) also set the trackball Device Assignment=mouse and Mouse Device Assignment=mouse.

Absolutely, you can get both the spinners and trackball to work simultaneously. Here's how to set it up: 1. Open RetroArch, navigate to 'Port 1', and set the spinner's 'Mouse Index' to 'Port 1'. 2. Go to 'Port 2' and adjust the trackball's 'Mouse Index' to 'Port 2'. 3. Return to your game, press the 'TAB' key on your keyboard to open the MAME menu, and select 'Input (this machine)'. This is where you can map the trackball or spinner to your games. Once mapped, these settings will be saved for each game, so you won't need to remap them the next time you play. I understand that emulator configurations can be complex. It might be helpful to watch some YouTube tutorials for a more in-depth understanding, which can enhance your gaming experience. Thank you for your interest in our products! Here’s a quick overview to get you started: To play games with our controllers, you’ll need to use an emulator app on your Mac or PC and load games (ROMs). Unfortunately, we can’t supply games due to copyright restrictions. Once you’ve set up the emulator, connect your Mac/PC to a TV, plug in the controller, and map it to control the games. For beginners, you’ll need to: Download games and set up emulators. Learn to map the controller to your games. I recommend using RetroArch or OpenEmu (frontends) for a seamless interface and MAME for classic arcade games. There are plenty of online resources to guide you through the process. Product Features Tankstick The X-Arcade Tankstick is a premium arcade controller designed to provide an authentic arcade experience. With dual joysticks, a high-quality trackball, and commercial-grade buttons, it’s ideal for retro gaming enthusiasts. It’s built for durability and works with PCs, Macs, and gaming consoles via adapters. Place it on a sturdy table for best results—it’s heavy-duty and built to last! Tankstick Max An upgraded version of the Tankstick, the Tankstick Max includes dual spinners for enhanced gameplay. It’s the ultimate solution for retro gaming enthusiasts seeking high performance and customization. Arcade2TV-XR More than just a controller, the Arcade2TV-XR features an adjustable stand with wheels for mobility and robust construction. It also offers wireless connectivity, customizable controls, three switchable modes, RGB lighting, and VR functionality. If you own a Meta headset, you can launch VR games and enjoy a fully immersive experience by mapping the unit to a virtual arcade machine. Last updated: 2024-12-14T03:18:35Z
Please confirm whether the trackball and spinners are functioning properly as a mouse on your PC? Spinner 1 and Spinner 2 should control the mouse movement in either the X or Y direction. If this works correctly, the issue is likely related to the MAME setup. Here’s how to correctly configure MAME for spinners and trackball: Step 1: Configure Input Device Options Open the MAME emulator. Navigate to Configure Options → Input Device Options. Set all options to Mouse and leave Input Providers set to Auto. Step 2: Enable Multi-Mouse Go to Configure Options → Advanced Options. Under Input Options, turn Multi-Mouse ON. Step 3: Remap Trackball/Spinner in Each Game If the trackball or spinner does not work by default in a game, it’s likely auto-mapped to another connected mouse. You’ll need to manually remap it: Launch a game in MAME and press TAB to open the in-game MAME menu. Go to Input (this machine) → Player 1 Controls. Find the dial or trackball you want to remap. Press Enter, then roll the spinner or trackball you wish to assign. This will complete the remap. To clear a mapping, press Enter and then ESC. I hope this helps! Refer to the image below that illustrates how to set up the arcade2tv-xr with Pinball FX VR while the spinners are installed. It functions properly, and we have verified its performance through testing. Instead of putting the Quest controllers into the slots, you should place them evenly on top of the spinners and then press the flipper buttons to finalize the mapping. Once the mapping is complete, you can safely store the Quest controller elsewhere. We are currently creating a 3D printed holder for this use case that will allow users to position the controller. That 3D design will be made available for free along with another option. Best,

Last updated: 2025-04-24T02:26:50Z
We presently lack a specific guide for configuring Retropie with arcade2tv-xr. However, the process is quite straightforward due to its XINPUT mode, which simplifies the mapping without requiring any custom script. Here are some guidelines: 1. Switch your arcade2tv-xr to XINPUT mode (while connected to a PC or Raspberry Pi, press and hold the P1 mode button on the touch panel for 5 seconds until the light blinks, indicating a mode change. A blinking green light means it is in XINPUT mode). 2. In the Retropie system, tap the arcade2tv's button a few times to start the mapping process for the controller. It will be recognized as an Xbox 360 controller since it's in XINPUT mode. Follow the instructions to complete the mapping for player one. Once player one's mapping is done, player two should be configured automatically as both players share the same layout. We recommend setting the flipper button to select and hotkey, and the player button to start, allowing you to exit games using the select + start combination. 3. Then, just search for any generic setup tutorial for Retropie on YouTube to learn about loading games and advanced settings in Retroarch, and you should be all set. Don’t forget to set the mouse index for trackball games, which is done in Retroarch. Hope this helps. Best,
RETROPIE- tankstick max trackball and spinner switching script

Last updated: 2024-04-05T20:32:01Z
We get your concern about not being able to switch easily between the spinner and trackball on your Tankstick Max. Good news – we've got a fix! We've created a simple script for your RetroPie setup that lets you pick either the trackball or spinner the first time you play a game, and it remembers your choice. So you never need to worry about doing the configuration all the time! Here's what to do: 1. Download the script we've attached (it's called "runcommand-onstart.sh"). 2. Copy it to the "opt/retropie/configs/all" folder on your system. You can use SSH or another method you're comfortable with. 3. Launch any game that uses a spinner or trackball. 4. The first time you play, you'll see a message asking you to pick a mouse index (1 or 2 for spinners, or choose the trackball), then hit enter to save. If you change your mind later, just restart the game, hit any button on the keyboard within 3 seconds after open a game, and choose again. 5. That's it! The game will start with your choice set as the primary mouse device. You only need to do this once for each game, and it's super easy. We're really sorry for any hassle this may have caused. We hope this solution helps and that you'll keep enjoying your Tankstick Max. Of course, if you're still thinking about returning it, we understand and are here to help with that too. Thanks for sticking with us, and happy gaming! Best wishes,

Open MAME: Start by launching your MAME application. 2. Configure Options: Navigate to Configure Options, then go to Input (general) or Input Device Options. 3. Device Assignments: Ensure all device assignments are set to Mouse. If you have a lightgun or another special device, adjust these settings accordingly. 4. Mouse Input Provider: Set the Mouse Input Provider to Auto. 5. Advance Options* Move to Advanced Options, find the Input Options section, and set Mouse to On and Multi-mouse to On. 6. Save Configuration: Return to the previous menu and select Save Configuration to save these settings. 7. Launch Game: Go back to the game menu, start a game (e.g., Tempest). 8. Map Controls: During the game, press the TAB key to open the MAME menu, select Input (this machine), navigate to Dial Analog, and press enter. Simply roll the spinner you want to map; it will automatically assign the corresponding mouse movement direction to the dial. 9. Save Game-Specific Settings: Once set, these controls will be saved for each specific game, so you only need to do this once per game. I have tested this setup personally, and it works effectively. Please try following this guide, and if you encounter any issues or have questions, do not hesitate to reach out. Best regards,

Switch2 brook adapter not work
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000118949
Last updated: 2026-04-17T06:24:35Z
Thanks for sticking with this — we’ll get it working. The main “gotcha” with the Switch 2 is that it won’t recognize the Wingman XE2 unless Pro Controller Wired Communication is turned ON in the Switch 2 System Settings → Controllers & Accessories, followed by a full restart. After that, please make sure: Your X-Arcade Tankstick is in Mode 1 (keyboard mode). The 2-in-1 adapter you’re using is the current style with permanently attached cables (older versions with detachable cables are not compatible with this setup). Update the Wingman XE2 firmware to the latest NS2-supported firmware. Once updated, the XE2 typically needs to be put into NS mode (PS + Up). If your Tankstick doesn’t have a PS/Home button to do that shortcut, you can temporarily connect another controller that does (PS5/PS4, etc.), set the XE2 to NS mode, and then swap back to the Tankstick. A quick check: when the XE2 is fully recognized on the Switch, the XE2’s LED should be solid (not just flashing). If it’s not, let me know what the LED does and we’ll pinpoint the next step. Brook instructions for reference: https://www.brookaccessory.com/support/future-proofed-brook-now-supports-ns2.php?utm_source=chatgpt.com Could you tell me: Which 2-in-1 cable you have (attached vs detachable), Whether the Tankstick works on a PC, The XE2 firmware version you’re currently on, And what LED behavior you see on the XE2 when you plug it into the Switch? Once we have those, we can isolate whether it’s a mode/firmware issue, a cable mismatch, or something else. Best,

Tankstick Max Batocera setup guide

Last updated: 2024-04-26T17:19:56Z
To optimize your Tankstick for use with the Batocera system, we recommend setting the device to Mode 4 (XINPUT). Once your Tankstick is connected in this mode, navigate to the system menu, and then go to the 'Controller and Bluetooth Settings'. Here, you should assign Player 1’s controller to 'Xarcade#1' and Player 2’s controller to 'Xarcade#2'. I’ve put together a straightforward guide to help you set up the spinner and trackball for your Tankstick on the Batocera system. Here are the steps to follow: 1. Connection: Connect only the USB cable of the Tankstick trackball/spinner to your PC’s USB port. 2. Enter a Game: Launch any game and then press hotkey+A to open the RetroArch menu. 3. Navigate to Input Settings: Go to Settings > Input > RetroPad Binds > Port 1 Controls. 4. Adjust Mouse Index: Select ‘Mouse Index’. You’ll see two devices listed as "HID 1241:1111". Select one to determine if it’s the spinner. If it’s not correct, simply go back and choose the other one. 5. Return to Game: Once set up, return to your game and enjoy. Note on Batocera Bug: Batocera has an issue where the mouse index is not saved after quitting a game. To minimize setup hassle, avoid connecting any other mice to your PC while using the Tankstick Max. This ensures the system loads the Tankstick Max's spinner or trackball as the default mouse index. Additional Info for RetroPie Users: If you’re using RetroPie, we have an easy-to-install script that allows users to switch between trackball and spinner via the red LED button on the Tankstick Max, simplifying the process considerably. We are exploring ways to improve this setup specifically for Batocera due to its limited flexibility compared to RetroPie. I hope this guide is helpful. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Tankstick Max for Arcade machine button at the back is interfering need to REMOVE GUIDE

Last updated: 2024-04-22T07:30:28Z
Thank you for reaching out regarding the setup of your Tankstick Max. The issue you're experiencing with the internal clearance is due to the additional space needed for the spinners, which required repositioning some components, including the button near the cable outlet. To resolve this, you will need to either remove the programming button or relocate it within the wooden frame of the arcade machine. Here’s how you can do it: 1. Access the Interior: Open up the Tankstick Max from the back. If you need guidance, this video will show you how: How to Open Your Tankstick. 2. Disconnect and Remove the Button: - Disconnect the terminals attached to the button. - Unscrew and remove the nut holding the button in place. - Remove the button from the controller. 3. Reconnect and Reposition: - Reconnect the terminals. - Optionally, place the button inside the wooden frame if it suits your setup better. After removing the button, you can still program the other buttons via software when necessary. Here’s a guide on how to do that: X-Arcade Programming Guide. We apologize for not updating our instructions earlier to reflect these changes, and appreciate your understanding. If you need further assistance or have any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks again for your patience and for choosing our product. Best regards,

Troubleshooting 5in1 Adapter Connection with Arcade2TV-XR
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000115357
Last updated: 2025-09-22T07:14:58Z
There are two possibilities regarding this issue: 1. It's possible that your arcade2tv-xr is configured to XINPUT mode, which would prevent the 5in1 adapter from functioning. 2. It's also feasible that the 5in1 adapter isn't getting sufficient power (from the console), so you should connect the side USB-C port to a USB power supply to guarantee the 5in1 adapter functions more reliably. They recently updated the game to enable the use of standard Xinput wireless gamepads for playing emulator games in Arcade Ranger. You can definitely do that! If you're looking to make your Tankstick wireless, you can use this adapter; a user mentioned that he got it working with this wireless hub: https://www.ebay.com/itm/276617933478. I assume you're interested in using the Tankstick to play Arcade Ranger, so I’m sharing this photo below. Just make sure to reprogram the Tankstick to the mapping provided below. Once you have the Tankstick connected wirelessly to your Quest headset, you’ll be able to use it right away. However, keep in mind that the physical to virtual mapping won't work. Hope this helps! X-Arcade Tankstick - LT/RT Buttons Not Mapping in RetroPie (Mode 4)
Freshdesk canned response ID: 12000118312
Last updated: 2026-03-14T03:04:33Z
Issue: The two buttons below the Player 1 / Player 2 button groups on the control panel (LT / RT) cannot be mapped in RetroPie when using Mode 4 (X-Input / Tri-Mode). Root Cause: In Mode 4, LT and RT are recognized as analog axes rather than standard digital buttons, so they do not register normally during the RetroPie controller mapping process. Solution — Re-map after clearing the autoconfig folder: Navigate to: /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig/ Delete all files inside that folder. Launch any game and go through the controller mapping process again. When prompted for LT / RT, press and hold slightly longer — RetroPie will detect them as analog axes and register them correctly. Once mapped, LT and RT will work normally in games.

Last updated: 2026-03-17T07:26:16Z
Thank you for reaching out! We completely understand the challenge — the Meta Quest 3S only has a single USB-C port, which makes it tricky to use both the X-Arcade wireless dongle and 3.5mm headphones at the same time. The good news is there is a simple fix: a USB-C hub with a built-in 3.5mm audio jack. Plug the hub into your Quest 3S USB-C port, then connect the X-Arcade dongle to a USB-A port on the hub and your headphones to the 3.5mm jack. Here is a hub we have tested and confirmed working: https://a.co/d/0i2uWdd4 Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance — we are happy to help! Best regards,

The new tankstick pcb with mode 4 is pretty much plug & play, so long as you uninstall xarcade2joystick and follow the xpad instructions. See this link: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Xbox-360-Controller/ (you need to set the xpad option to switch the triggers to buttons) echo "options xpad triggers_to_buttons=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/xpad.conf Hope this helps!
