Make sure your ActiveKB MySQL user has full permissions for modifying sql tables (create, drop, alter, delete. insert, indexes, select, update) 7. Browse to your ActiveKB installation which should present you with an upgrade wizard. Follow this to complete your upgrade. 8. Login to the backend to confirm that works 9. Merge any code and/or template customisations you had made into the new version. ** Upgrading from ActiveKB 2005 1.2.0, 1.3.x to ActiveKB 2005 1.3.7 1. Backup your system 2. Make a copy of your admin/includes/config.php file 3. Upload the contents of the zip file to your web server 4. Overwrite the copy of your config.php file ** To upgrade to ActiveKB 2005 from ActiveKB v1.5/1.7, follow these instructions: 1. Download your existing ActiveKB 1.5/1.7 config.php file from the admin/includes directory to your PC 2. Upload the entire contents of the ActiveKB zip file to a folder on your web server in or below the root directory, such as /activekb. You can overwrite your old ActiveKB files also 3. Upload your old config.php file that your downloaded in step 1 into your activekb/admin/includes folder 4. Make sure the config.php file is writable (CHMOD 666) 5. Go to http://www.yoursite.com/activekb/admin in your web browser. Replace "www.yoursite.com" with the domain name of your web site 6. The upgrade wizard will start 7. Complete each step in the upgrade wizard but make sure your ActiveKB MySQL user has full create table and alter table permissions 8. If you uploaded the ActiveKB files to a new folder, make sure you change the ActiveKB path from the settngs page in the control panel
