Ticket 31528 - Check stock before asking for more checkout evidence
- automation_draft_weakness: The automation asked for the product link and a checkout/shipping screenshot before first checking whether the replacement-joystick item itself had simply gone out of stock.
- manual_reply_improvement: Matt replied that the item had temporarily gone out of stock, corrected the inventory issue, and asked the customer to try the order again.
- new_drafting_rule: When a customer says a replacement part suddenly shows unavailable to ship, first consider whether the item may be temporarily out of stock or misconfigured before expanding into a broader address/screenshot evidence request. Ask for more checkout evidence only if a quick stock/configuration check does not explain the failure.
- confidence_effect: Improves ordering-ticket triage by reducing unnecessary back-and-forth when the real issue is item availability rather than the customer's address.
- storage_decision: reviewable learning proposal

Why this matters
The customer did not need a larger diagnostic questionnaire once the real blocker was identified as item availability. Future drafts should prefer the smallest likely operational check before asking for more checkout proof.
