Switch 2 + Tankstick Max + Wingman XE2 confirmed setup

For Nintendo Switch 2 with Tankstick Max and Brook Wingman XE2, the customer confirmed the following guidance fixed the issue:

  1. Enable Pro Controller Wired Communication under Switch 2 System Settings > Controllers & Accessories.
  1. Fully restart the Switch 2 after enabling the setting.
  1. Set the X-Arcade Tankstick Max rear toggle switch to Mode 1 / Keyboard Mode before connecting.
  1. Use the newer 2-in-1 adapter version with permanently attached cables. Older detachable-cable versions are not compatible with this setup.
  1. Update the Brook Wingman XE2 to the latest Nintendo Switch 2 supported firmware.
  1. Put the XE2 into NS mode with PS + Up. If the Tankstick does not have a PS/Home button for that shortcut, temporarily connect another controller such as a PS4 or PS5 controller, switch the XE2 into NS mode, then reconnect the Tankstick.
  1. Connect Player 1 first and initiate the handshake with Left Flipper + Player 1. For two-player setups, connect Player 2 only after Player 1 is recognized, then use Right Flipper + Player 2.
  1. When recognized correctly, the XE2 LED should become solid instead of flashing.
