Arcade2TV-XR Batocera basic setup

For customers who find RetroArch or manual emulator setup too difficult, Batocera can be recommended as a simpler emulation path for Arcade2TV-XR.

Reusable guidance:

  1. Connect the square USB-B port on the back of the Arcade2TV-XR to the computer or Raspberry Pi running Batocera.
  1. Try X-Input mode first. Hold the P1 Mode button until the touch panel flashes green.
  1. In Batocera, open the main menu, go to Controller Settings, and run Controller Mapping.
  1. Remind the customer that USB-B is the data connection. USB-C is for power/lights only.
  1. For trackball and spinner use, enable the Optical Device setting in Batocera Game Options for supported games. Some games may still need axes mapped in the emulator or MAME menu.
  1. Recommend testing a basic joystick/button game first, then trackball or spinner games separately.
