Arcade2TV-XR Batocera basic setup
For customers who find RetroArch or manual emulator setup too difficult, Batocera can be recommended as a simpler emulation path for Arcade2TV-XR.
Reusable guidance:
- Connect the square USB-B port on the back of the Arcade2TV-XR to the computer or Raspberry Pi running Batocera.
- Try X-Input mode first. Hold the P1 Mode button until the touch panel flashes green.
- In Batocera, open the main menu, go to Controller Settings, and run Controller Mapping.
- Remind the customer that USB-B is the data connection. USB-C is for power/lights only.
- For trackball and spinner use, enable the Optical Device setting in Batocera Game Options for supported games. Some games may still need axes mapped in the emulator or MAME menu.
- Recommend testing a basic joystick/button game first, then trackball or spinner games separately.
