Customer (2026-05-08)

The customer had an Arcade2TV-XR with the haptics kit installed and wanted to add the spinner kit. The original spinner-board mounting location was already occupied by the haptics kit board, so they asked where to install the spinner kit PCB.

Support explained that the spinner kit PCB can snap onto other available mounting slots on the metal frame inside the controller. Support also warned that the spinner kit USB connection should remain separate from the haptics kit USB connections to avoid device detection problems.

Customer (2026-05-08)

The customer asked what "keeping the USB connections separate" means and whether everything can be connected at once.

Customer (2026-05-08)

After installing the spinner kit board, Windows reported that the last USB device was not recognized. The customer said the wiring matched the installation document but noted an extra USB-A cable that was not mentioned in the video or instructions.

Support explained that the extra USB-A cable is for original Tankstick models and is not needed for the Arcade2TV-XR setup. Support noted that the USB device recognition error is usually caused by a connection issue between the spinner board and the main PCB, often from swapped cables or from sharing a USB path with the haptics kit instead of keeping the paths separate.

If a spinner installation causes the controller panel USB/connect indicator to blink on and off, also inspect the push-button terminals on the controller panel. In one resolved install, the terminals had loosened during the mod; retightening them fixed the repeated connect/disconnect behavior.

If Pinball FX VR stops responding after a spinner kit install but the controller still tests correctly on PC, isolate the spinner wiring path before replacing parts. One resolved Quest 3 case recovered by removing the spinner board, confirming the Arcade2TV-XR worked again in the original wiring state, then reconnecting the trackball, spinners, and USB ports one by one and testing after each step.

Support asked for a short video showing the internal wiring, board connections, and the Windows error message so the physical layout could be reviewed.
