X-Force Haptics Kit will not power up
Useful Answer
For a haptics kit that does not power up, check the easy power-path items first:
- Physical switch: check the on/off switch on the power cord between the brick and the panel.
- Dual power: both the 24V adapter and the USB-C port need to be connected to wall power.
- Plug seating: push the 24V plug firmly into the socket; it can feel connected before it is fully seated.
If it still will not power on, collect status-light evidence:
- Is the green light on the power brick lit?
- With the unit open, is there a blue LED visible on the internal board while plugged in?
- Does anything change when the power port is gently wiggled?
Useful evidence before deciding on replacement:
- Photo of the internal board.
- Short video of internal cable connections and status lights while plugged in.
- Video of the unit behavior while gently moving the power port.
For first-batch haptics kits, a sudden total power loss may indicate a haptics control panel PCB or power socket failure. A replacement haptics panel PCB is modular and does not require firmware updates after installation. Route internal cables carefully so they are not pinched when the panel is closed.
Source Context
The customer reported a nearly new haptics kit that no longer powered up. Support identified a small number of first-batch units with soldering-related issues and recommended the haptics panel PCB as the common first replacement.
