Customer (2026-04-09)
The customer reported that an older X-Arcade Tankstick setup would not work with Nintendo Switch 2, even after following support-site instructions. They suspected Nintendo firmware restrictions might be blocking third-party accessories and asked about a return.
Agent (2026-04-09)
Support asked the customer to confirm the controller type and mode before moving to a return path:
- Arcade2TV should be in keyboard mode.
- Tankstick should be in Mode 1.
- Brook support may have the latest adapter-side firmware notes for Switch 2 compatibility.
Customer (2026-04-10)
The customer confirmed that the Tankstick was in Mode 1 and that the Brook dongles had been updated with the latest Nintendo Switch 2 firmware, but the setup still did not work.
Agent (2026-04-13)
Support asked the customer to run one more reset process before treating the case as a return:
- Connect the Tankstick to a computer.
- Switch it to Mode 1.
- Open the configuration software.
- Perform a factory reset.
- Test whether key values register.
- Press Left Flipper + P1 together.
- Reset the unit again.
Customer (2026-05-08)
The customer later said they would test the handshake/reset process over the weekend and report back.
Classification Notes
Kept because the reusable knowledge is about Switch 2 compatibility, Brook Wingman XE2 firmware, Tankstick Mode 1, factory reset, and the lower-flipper/P1 handshake path. Return/refund language was excluded from the KB body.
