Confirm original Showcase versus Arcade2TV-XR before troubleshooting

The older Arcade2TV Showcase cabinet/control-panel setup and the later Arcade2TV-XR Showcase are different products. Identify the installed controller and connections before choosing firmware or a manual. A customer with a 2016 Showcase reported working trackball but unresponsive joysticks, a game selection that returned to the menu, and only one working pinball button. Support initially supplied the XR guide, then corrected the routing when the customer identified the older system. No final repair was reported.

For the original Showcase, use the original Arcade2TV Showcase setup guide, especially Troubleshooting and its control-panel test. Check the documented A/B/C/D switchbox, main control-panel connection and Mode 1 branch for that installed hardware; a working trackball does not establish the joystick/button connection. Do not apply XR USB-B recovery or XR firmware just because the cabinet name includes Arcade2TV.

For an actual XR installation, use the Arcade2TV-XR Showcase guide. If uncertain, send support photos of the controller label, rear ports and any switchbox. After following the matched guide, verify joystick/button input separately from trackball movement and report the remaining game-selection symptom rather than calling the routing correction a completed repair.

Older Tankstick with Trackball is not the XR pedestal mounting pattern

For the older Tankstick with Trackball, including the 2021 Zerolag/XInput/DirectInput model described in a reviewed support inquiry, the Arcade2TV-XR pedestal is not a compatible direct mount. Support identified a different mounting arrangement. Do not buy the XR pedestal solely because both products are called Tankstick, and do not drill or force a mount to make it fit.

The older Tankstick is intended for a stable desk or table. Identify the exact controller model before choosing a stand. If considering a third-party custom stand, obtain its mounting dimensions, load/stability requirements and written fit confirmation for that controller from the maker; this inquiry did not validate a particular third-party stand. Ask Xgaming support if the model is uncertain.

This warning is about the older Tankstick with Trackball, not a reversal of the separately documented compatibility between the official original-XR pedestal and Arcade2TV-XR MAX. It does not establish an unchanged SKU, universal stand compatibility or current stock.

Tankstick MAX is different from Arcade2TV-XR MAX

The black Tankstick MAX and the integrated Arcade2TV-XR MAX are different products. In a reviewed pre-sales clarification, support stated that Tankstick MAX does not fit the offered Arcade2TV-XR pedestal and directed customers seeking the supported Meta Quest VR setup to the Arcade2TV-XR / Tankstick VR line. Do not infer XR pedestal fit or the supported XR VR setup from the word MAX, a black finish, generic USB input or a private draft.

This does not reverse the separately documented fit of Arcade2TV-XR MAX on the official original-XR pedestal. Identify the exact controller and stand before purchasing. A legacy Tankstick MAX console/PC adapter path is not the integrated XR MAX rear-knob path. For a combined VR, PC and console plan, have support check the exact headset/game, controller and console-adapter kit; the reviewed inquiry did not confirm a completed multi-platform installation or every game's compatibility.
